As summer starts to bite and the temperatures rise, we take a look at some of the top places to cool down in Ipswich.
Orion Lagoon
Orion Lagoon at Springfield Central offers pools for all age groups with a toddler friendly 0.3m depth area up to 1.5m for proficient swimmers.
Checkout the fun squirting spouts and stepping-stones, barbecue areas and picnic tables.

Robelle Domain
Not far from Orion Lagoon, kids will love the large tipping bucket in the zero depth water park at Robelle Domain.
There’s also jet sprays and spouts. The water park is surrounded with shady picnic areas, boardwalks and playgrounds as well as land art pyramids and an early evening sound and light show.
Robelle Domain is free and is at 155 Southern Cross Circuit, Springfield Central.
Bob Gamble Park
Set inside River Heart Parklands Bob Gamble Park is an Ipswich favourite for good reason.
It includes a zero depth water park, play equipment including a giant climbing spider, 25-metre flying fox and swings for toddlers.
There’s also Discovery Forest, picnic and barbecue facilities.
Bob Gamble Park is free and is at 2 Blackall Street, Ipswich.
Ripley Splash ‘n’ Play
Check out the region’s newest water park at Ripley.
There’s something for kids of all ages at Ripley Splash ‘n’ Play including fountains and water play features with wiggly sprayers, water shooters and more – and a majority of the water play area is under shade sails.
The park includes barbecue facilities, flying fox and a huge slippery slide. Ripley Splash ‘n’ Play park is free and is off Amity Way, South Ripley.
