A mysterious suitcase of ladies’ clothes is found by a cleaner in one of the lavatories of the Commonwealth Hotel. This is seized by police as it turns out to be evidence in a spate of thefts in the area. The thief pled guilty and ended up with a six months gaol sentence with hard labour.
