It is the question that has been on the lips of many an Ipswich resident for some time – when will Costco Bundamba open?
Now, there is an answer – 29 November.
Costco Australia managing director Patrick Noone revealed the date in the company’s latest edition of The Costco Connection magazine for members.
“It’s full steam ahead at Costco this summer. Firstly, our newest warehouse in Epping, Victoria opened on 29 August,” he said.
“Excitingly, we have another warehouse opening on 29 November. It will be located in Ipswich, just 40km from Brisbane’s CBD.
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to better service our members in south-east Queensland.”
The reveal confirms Costco Bundamba is on track to open before Christmas.

The first sod was officially turned on the project in June amid much community anticipation.
Ipswich residents have already begun embracing the US giant, with a ‘Qld Costco Geeks – Bundamba Ipswich’ Facebook group having grown to almost 2,800 members in recent months.
Mr Noone has previously said Costco Bundamba was a $50 million project that would generate 90 jobs during construction, with 280 full-time and casual positions to follow once it was completed.
As well as the Costco store, the development includes 825 car parks and a 24-hour service station.
“We are delighted to be a part of the strong economic growth story in south-east Queensland and believe our outlet will boost economic activity and further activate Citiswich Business Park,” Mr Noone said.
