Ipswich is home to many extraordinary Australians and you can now nominate them for the 2024 Ipswich Australia Day Awards.
Community, Culture, Sports and Arts Committee Chairperson Councillor Andrew Fechner said the awards were an important way to recognise the contributions and achievements of those who had made a positive impact on Ipswich.
“Nominating someone for an Australia Day award is an opportunity to acknowledge their hard work, dedication and commitment to our community,” Cr Fechner said.
“Whether it’s a devoted volunteer, a positive role model at a sporting club, or a community group that goes above and beyond, these awards celebrate the diverse talents and contributions to our wonderful city.
“Shining a light on the achievements of our local legends can also inspire others to be a force for positive change in their own communities.”
