Do you know a remarkable Ipswich resident who deserves recognition? You can honour them now with a nomination for the 2025 Ipswich Australia Day Awards.

Ipswich City Council Economic and Cultural Development Committee Chairperson Cr Pye Augustine said Ipswich is home to many extraordinary individuals and community groups who give back and create positive change.

“The awards are our chance to publicly show appreciation for those who embody the Ipswich spirit, giving their time and talents selflessly to better the community,” Cr Augustine said.

“Often our dedicated volunteers, sporting role models, community groups and unsung heroes go unnoticed in day-to-day life. I urge you to nominate these inspiring individuals and community groups.

“These are the people who build up the community and make the city such a wonderful place to live. Their contribution to Ipswich is invaluable and it’s vital that we thank them for their hard work.

“If you know someone who fits the criteria, get started on your nomination now.”
