The upcoming locations for Ipswich City Council’s mobile nursery between August and November 2023 have been locked in.
The mobile nursery is part of the council’s annual Free Plant Program, which gives out more than 120,000 plants to residents annually.
Ipswich residents are entitled to six free plants per year under the program, with additional plants available for those on acreage properties, riparian allotments and newly-built homes.
Environment and Sustainability Committee Chairperson Deputy Mayor Russell Milligan said that visiting the mobile nursery was convenient for residents to revitalise their gardens.
“The mobile nursery is a convenient way to get involved in creating greener spaces as we bring the nursery more or less to you,” Deputy Mayor Milligan said.
“Residents can also collect their free plants at council’s Queens Park Nursery. This is about making Ipswich a more sustainable place to live as our city continues to grow.”

- 5 August – Fay Carr Park 1, Joy Chambers Court, Ripley
