March 24: Captain Underpants braves Planet of the Apes

Tivoli Drive-in and markets

Gates open super early for the drive-in, to allow guest the opportunity to check out the markets from 4pm. Movies kick in at 7pm. Tonight’s blockbusters are Captain Underpants at 7pm, and War for the Planet of the Apes at 8.45pm.

Antiques and Collectables Fair

You never know what you might find when the Antiques and Collectables Fair comes to Ipswich. There will be thousands of items for sale. Buy, sell and appraise.

2. Parkrun

Start your weekend off with some fitness fun. This free 5km event is held weekly and suitable for runners and walkers of all fitness levels. Volunteers are also sought to help the event run smoothly.

Chat time with Division 3 Cr Kerry Silver is a chance for residents to grab a coffee and catch up with their local councillor.

parkrun

parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. All ages and abilities can go along and run the 5km course. Please register before your first run. Bring a printed copy of your barcode so you can get your time. You are also welcome to grab a coffee in a local cafe with the parkrunners afterwards.

ANZAC: Photographs by Laurence Aberhart

ANZAC is the result of acclaimed New Zealand photographer Laurence Aberhart’s thirty year journey photographing World War One Memorials across New Zealand and Australia.

Focusing on the lone ‘digger’ memorials Aberhart’s photographs chart a seemingly simple pathway through the landscapes of these two nations, reflecting the scale the conflict had on these regions.

This exhibition is presented to coincide with the centenary anniversary of the end of the First World War.
