Ipswich libraries continue to be a hotspot for connection and knowledge and serve as a vital resource for many in the region.
Council is once again reaching out to the community to gather valuable feedback through a quick online survey designed to gather insights that will help shape future services and programs.
Community, Culture, Arts and Sport Committee Chairperson Councillor Andrew Fechner said Ipswich Libraries has a strong place in the community and council is committed to ensuring they continue to deliver services that meet the diverse needs and interests of Ipswich residents.
“Our libraries are more than just buildings filled with wonderful books and dedicated staff; they are beautiful spaces where community members can learn, create, and dream,” Cr Fechner said.
“Library visitors enjoy 24/7 borrowing, fun children’s spaces, innovative digital technology in Makerspace areas, the opportunity to hear from diverse speakers and authors at Inspiration Hour sessions, and access to free online resources including eAudiobooks, eBooks, and streaming services.
“Our libraries have access to public PCs, Wi-Fi, bookable meeting rooms and study nooks, as well a range of programs and events, all free to library members.”
The 2021-2022 Ipswich Libraries Survey Report showed a 98.4 per cent satisfaction rate and council looks to maintain that high satisfaction rate.
“While there is so much to be proud of, your thoughts and ideas can help make our libraries even better,” Cr Fechner said.
“Council looks forward to hearing about your experiences or what you want to see at our Ipswich Central Library, Ipswich Children’s Library, Springfield Central Library, Rosewood Library, Redbank Plaza Library, Redbank Plains Library and Karalee Library Pod.”
Those who complete the survey will go into the draw to win a brand-new iPad (10 Gen).
The annual Ipswich Libraries survey is open now until 25 June 2023.
Participants can complete the survey at Ipswich Libraries Survey 2023.
