Ipswich residents can leave their table manners at home following the opening of Australia’s largest and fastest growing seafood company, Kickin’Inn, in the Nicholas Street Precinct.
Joining Ipswich’s premier lifestyle, leisure, and entertainment destination, Nicholas Street Precinct, Kickin’Inn’s CEO Ravi Singh said the opening was spurred by countless requests for a local restaurant from the Ipswich community.
“We have millions of followers, and people kept writing to us asking, when will you open in Ipswich?” Mr Singh said.
“The requests for an Ipswich restaurant kept on coming so this opening is responding to what our fans want.”
Ipswich City Council Economic and Cultural Development Committee Chairperson Councillor Pye Augustine said the announcement was the latest in a series of high-profile openings for the city heart.
“Kickin’Inn follows hot on the heels of the opening of HOYTS and General Public in the Venue Building, and the grand re-opening of Hotel Commonwealth,” Cr Augustine said.
“Council had a vision for a city heart that was vibrant and engaging, generating jobs, economic benefits and community spirit.
Kickin’Inn’s opening is another vote of confidence in the Nicholas Street Precinct – we’re delighted to welcome them.”
The secret to Kickin’Inn’s success and loyal following is all in the sauce – the 55 secret herbs and spices in their Kajun sauce hand-picked by Singh and Kickin’Inn’s Managing Director Sami Karras.
“We couldn’t find anyone in the world that created the perfect Cajun recipe, so we spent three years developing the recipe, eating Cajun for breakfast, lunch and dinner until we created a sauce we love.
“Once we had the sauce it felt natural to create a restaurant experience that challenged conventions and table etiquette, so we focused on developing a menu that you’d eat like you’re at home with friends and family, just sitting around together and digging in with your hands.
“At Kickin’Inn you can make all the mess you want, we want our fans to be themselves when they come to our restaurants, we give you aprons and gloves for a good reason,” Mr Singh said.
Open from 11am on 3 December at Nicholas Street Precinct, Kickin’Inn is rolling out the Kajun carpet with every online booking on their opening day receiving their iconic Shrimp Martini valued at $59 for free.
Offering a menu bursting with seafood including Queensland prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, blue swimmer crabs, and Singh’s recommendation for first time diners, the Kickin’ Mixed Bag.
“Our Mixed Bag is about six to seven kilograms of seafood, it’s an absolute feast for two to four people, and it perfectly encapsulates our experience in one delicious bag of seafood,” Mr Singh said.
With a menu boasting a mix of seafood, sides, kids’ meals, and a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, Kickin’Inn is poised to become a dining destination in Ipswich.
Kickin’Inn is open seven days a week. For more information visit www.kickininn.com.au.
