Ipswich artists, make your mark on SPARK Ipswich 2025

A day of activities during the Immerse event at SPARK Ipswich, 2023.

Ipswich City Council is calling on artists to leave their mark on SPARK Ipswich 2025.

Economic and Cultural Development Committee Chairperson Councillor Pye Augustine said Expressions of Interest are now being sought from artists to help brand next year’s festival.

“SPARK Ipswich is our city’s premier arts and culture festival, showcasing the region’s exciting cultural scene and rich diversity,” Cr Augustine said.

“Council is inviting artists to contribute an original illustrative concept that could be used as a key branding design for SPARK Ipswich 2025.

“Expressions of Interests are now open for eligible artists to capture the spirit of the fifth festival and express what SPARK Ipswich means to them.

“It is wonderful opportunity for artists to make their mark and have their work seen by thousands of people across Ipswich and beyond leading into and during the festival.

“The successful artist will be selected going by their submission’s relevance to SPARK Ipswich 2025, originality and creativity, the design’s capacity to evoke a sense of community and the artist’s connection to Ipswich.”

SPARK Ipswich will be held over 10 days in July 2025, showcasing the city’s people, places, arts and culture.

A Commission Fee of up to $2,000 will be paid for the successful submission.

Expressions of Interest close 8am, Monday 25 November 2024. Initial submission requirements include examples of previous work and a concept proposal only. For information about submission requirements and to apply, visit the ‘Get Involved’ tab at the Ipswich Festivals website.
