Division 4 guide to Christmas in Ipswich events and activities

Spectacular suburban wonderlands, country Christmas carnivals, fleets of merry performers and so much more are planned for Division 4 as part of council’s annual Christmas in Ipswich program.

Division 4 Councillor Kate Kunzelmann said the city’s celebrations will include free events and activities from Marburg to Brassall and every suburb across the division.

“A highlight for our central and regional families will be Santa on Tour, which will see a merry fleet cruise through suburbs on 9 and 17 December, stopping at parks and community locations to spread festive cheer with help from local rural fire service personnel,” Cr Kunzelmann said.

“There are also plenty of opportunities to explore regional Christmas markets, carnivals and sing your favourite Christmas carols with great events planned in Pine Mountain and Chuwar.”

Division 4 Councillor Russell Milligan said council will soon publish a list of the best displays as part of the City of Ipswich Christmas Lights Competition so families can easily plan their route to see incredible suburban light wonderlands and north pole characters.

“Festive celebrations in Division 4 will culminate with Celebrate ’23 at the Tivoli Drive In with an exciting community stage, roving entertainment and a fantastic fireworks finale,” Cr Milligan said.

“With unique hobby farm experiences, a charitable motorbike toy run and Letters to Santa at the Rosewood Library, there is fun for everyone this Christmas in Ipswich.”
