Following last month’s ‘topping out’, another key feature has been added to the emerging city heart development, the Venue.
When you cast your eyes to the ceiling, the iconic skylight has now been installed, filling the foyer area with warm, natural light.
See what’s new and navigate your way through the Venue in this 360 degree look at progress over the last month.
As you make your way further inside the building and up on to the first floor, a new steel structure greets you.
This frame marks the entry to the new HOYTS cinema complex and is providing a much clearer picture of what it will be like inside the new entertainment hub.
Just through the new entry way is the first of the six cinemas. Only a month ago, this looked very much like a skeleton structure, but now wall panels are in place and the familiar dark tones have started to be applied. And what makes it most obvious this is a cinema is that the tiered seating is taking shape.
Further additions over the last month include the all-important air conditioning ducts, which are in place, ready to bring an escape from the South-East Queensland heat.
Stepping outside the building, works are underway on Ellenborough Street and Brisbane Street to redevelop the foot path and pavement to tie in with the rest of the Nicholas Street Precinct.
